Isaro Foundation recently won the RINA 2012 Humanitarian Award.
Rwanda International Network Association (RINA) is a nonprofit organization, founded and run by members of the Rwandan Diaspora. Its first goal is to enable members of the Diaspora play a significant role in improving the lifestyle of their families, their country and the rest of the world in general.
Isaro Foundation was awarded RINA annual conference dubbed Urugwiro. Each year, RINA awards individuals and organisations that have contributed greatly to community development.
This year, RINA will give out three awards including one that will be given to the best leader (RINA Leadership Award), the welfare of humanity award (RINA Humanitarian Award), and the cultural encouragement award (RINA Cultural Award).
The representative of Isaro Foundation in Oklahoma, Thierry Tuyishimire said RINA was happy about the award.
“We are so happy to receive this recognition. This is a great achievement and we thank each individual who contributed to our success,” said Tuyishimire.
The Humanitarian Award is given to individuals or organizations that have demonstrated a significant effort to improve the lifestyle of Rwandans in general. Candidates are those who have shown significant roles to address the needs of Rwandans in the field of health, education, employment or other humanitarian services.
